How To Unblock Your Intuition?
Many people confuse intuition with their gut feeling. And, when they fail to acknowledge or understand this feeling (or lack thereof), they feel that their intuition has been blocked. This is far from true.
While there are ways to channel your higher self, your intuition never gets blocked. Your inner voice never gives up on you.
In fact, in 2007, Pretz and Totz suggested that there are three types of intuition – holistic, inferential and aective.
Holistic intuition is based on non-logical instincts that we often feel. Holistic intuition is what we will discuss in this blog.
Inferential intuition involves instincts that develop as a result of experiences (or practice of making similar decisions).
Aective intuition involves decision-making based on emotions. This is what most people call ‘gut feeling’.
Your inner voice (holistic intuition) cannot be silenced.
The voice, no matter how feeble, will always exist in the back of your mind.
What Blocks Intuition?
While your intuition cannot be silenced, trauma and heartache can make you doubt yourself.
Also, as we go through life, society creates a false sense of security in our minds. This makes us reliant on the instinct of others, rather than our own decisions.
Societal norms often blind us to our own power. This further creates an energetic wall between our conscious mind and our intuition.
Many of us are often manipulated by narcissistic energies. These energy vampires push us down the spirals of self-doubt that further cloud our inner eye.
After all, it’s easier to believe what others say than to ight for ourselves.
It’s easier to follow a prophecy or word of God (however it may come) than to take on the responsibility of connecting with our own divinity.
Being able to hear our inner voice is not always a choice. But, listening to it when we can is.
Intuition Vs Anxiety: Are you misreading the signs?
Many of us mistake anxiety for intuition.
Our minds are clever. They can make us believe any lie (however big) if it ensures our survival.
While the body recovers from trauma, the mind clings to it. It is a part of our defence mechanism. If we remember the pain associated with a situation, we will do our best to avoid it at all costs.
This inclination of our minds often leads us to mistake fear for divine guidance. It’s easy to lose ourselves in the stories our minds make up.
However, we need to put up a ight and have faith in our souls.
We are not all destined for greatness. But, we can choose to listen to our inner voice and lead the lives our souls ind peace in.
How To Develop/Reconnect With Your Intuition?
We have discussed what intuition is and how it gets blocked. Let’s now talk about how we can reconnect with it.
There are quite a few ways for you to do that. The following four are my favourite:
1. Meditate,Meditate,Meditate
One of the most obvious ways to reconnect with your intuition is meditation.
However, it’s not easy to silence your mind. It’s not easy to silence fear, darkness or pain. And, you don’t need to do it in a day.
Take a few minutes every day to take some deep breaths. As you exhale, express gratitude for every act of kindness you witnessed that day.
2. UseCrystals
Crystals like amethyst and quartz are known to help with strengthening the third eye. But, not many of us know how to properly use crystals. Instead of just holding one in your hand, allow the crystal to form an energetic sphere around you.
Every crystal is unique and carries a secret. Allow yours to help you ind it. Gemstones are secret keepers. They hold light codes that can heal the earth. Invoke the light in your crystal and allow its light to awaken your inner eye.
3. Work with Mother Earth
Gaia has all the answers we need. Everything we need will be provided to us when we need it the most. To unblock your intuition, take a few minutes every day to connect with the belly of Mother Earth.
If you live near a water body, connect with its spirit and ask it to assist you.
4. Actively Practice Listening To Your Inner Voice
Your inner light cannot be dimmed. But, sometimes, we struggle to see it.
Take 5 minutes every day to express gratitude for the 5 senses we are blessed with.
During the sixth minute, connect with your inner eye and journal. Have a conversation with your intuition.
Practice may not make us perfect. But, it does make us better.
The more you practice working with your inner eye, the easier it will be for you to trust your intuition.
